2. Registration Requirements
Language proficiency: To take part in the Bayreuth International Summer School an English language level of B2 is required. Please enclose a standardized language certificate (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) with your application. Exemptions are available.
The offered courses are mainly directed at late Bachelor/undergraduate and Master/graduate students with prior knowledge in the field. The Polymer Science & Engineering and Biofabrication courses are targeted only at Bachelor and Master students.
However, students and academics of different fields and academic degrees are more than welcome to apply and join courses outside their academic or professional expertise. Please outline your interest in the course and your motivation for choosing it in your statement.
3. Participation Fee / Scholarship
The overall participation fee of € 650 (including course and registration fees) are reduced to € 550 during the early-bird period (1 - 28 February 2021) and for students of partner universities at various rates. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about partner discounts.
Please contact our team for specific fee information, in case you would like to join the summer school as a professional. Changes to the course fee may apply.
The Bayreuth International Summer School is unfortunately not yet able to provide scholarships for students outside the university's partnership programme.
4. Visa Application
As our complete programme for 2021 will be digital, you do not need to travel to Bayreuth to join our Summer School. Thus, a visa is not necessary.
5. ECTS / Course Credit
In each course you are able to obtain up to 6 ECTS points after participating actively and passing the examination, which depending on the course can include e.g. a presentation or written exam.
6. UBT Students
Students enrolled in the University of Bayreuth pay a reduced participation fee of € 50, unless the Summer School course is part of their regular course at the UBT.
